"It's all in the hips."

Never were truer words spoken, courtesy of Happy Gilmore's Chubbs. It IS all in the hips. And mine? They're throwing me two steps back for every one step forward.

See this?

Yep. That's my brand new tag. My permanent disable person's parking tag. Just call me "limpy."

A fall during my pregnancy got me this new and private pass to all the best parking spots. Let's just say lemon Pledge + floor = ow. I thought it might clear up on its own after O was born. I thought wrong. It got worse and worse until I couldn't even stand up or sit up after staying in one spot for too long. It made nursing a two person job. One to feed the kid, and the other to help me get off the couch.

The doctor says nothing is broken, but I do have the beginnings of arthritis in my hips. Arthritis! In my hips! Dude, I'm 34. Arthritis? Really?

Yes, really.

The fall aggravated it and on top of it, I have some pretty pissed off nerve endings and probably a bursitis or two near my hip bone. The doc gave me these cool anti-inflammatory pads to put on my hip but that's all I get for now. Since I'm still nursing, medications are out as a solution. I get to take it easy and limp around.

And yet, the universe still likes to remind me that it's ironic. When I came home from the doctor, Just Dance 3 (for Xbox Kinect) was in my mailbox.
